Whatever your reason, we will work with you and tailor each coaching session to help you get the most out of your climbing.

Your climbing coach will work closely with you to create a bespoke training plan tailored just for you. Over the 6 sessions your coach will help you to focus on the area that you wish to improve on and guide you through motivational advice and the use of good climbing techniques.

ADULT BEGINNERS COURSE

Everything you need to know to be able to belay a climber safely.

This course is great for anyone over the age of 18 who wants to be able to climb at the Centre unsupervised. This is also ideal for parents who want to bring their kids climbing as it will save you money as you won’t need to hire an instructor!

What does the course involve?

The course is designed to teach you all the necessary skills needed for belaying safely. Belaying is the technique used for controlling the rope whilst the climber climbs. On the course you will learn how to put your harness on correctly, how to tie in and how to belay a climber safely. The course is split in to 2 parts and each part lasts 2 hours. Once you have passed the course you will then be able to climb and belay unsupervised and be able to bring up to 2 novices with you under your supervision.

Learn to lead course

So, you know how to climb, and you know how to belay so take the next step and learn how to lead climb and lead belay.

This course is great for anyone over the age of 18 who is already experienced in climbing and belaying without supervision. You must be able to top rope to 6a confidently and have done at least 3 months of regular climbing and belaying.

WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INVOLVE?

This 3-session course is designed to teach you all the necessary skills needed for lead climbing and lead belaying safely. The course is split in to 3 parts and each part lasts 2 hours. Once you have passed the course you will then be able to lead climb and lead belay unsupervised. You will need to have your own climbing equipment. Ropes will be provided on the course, but you will need to bring your own rope to lead climb after the course.

Outdoor climbing

Fancy having a go at outdoor rock climbing but not sure where to start? Always wanted to try it but never had the chance? Or not sure if you will like it or not? Well, if you don’t try, you will never know! 

This session is great for those who would like to try outdoor rock climbing, even with little or no previous experience. We tailor the session around you so you can enjoy the experience whilst under the supervision of a qualified and friendly instructor. 

Rock climbing can be challenging but also fun and very rewarding. On the session you will have a go at different climbs at the location whilst taking in the beautiful scenery that surrounds us. 

There are several climbing locations that we like to visit and once we have found out a little bit more about your group, we can then choose the best suited location for the party. Factors like the weather may also play a part in deciding the location.

FAQ's for Outdoor Climbing

What is the minimum age?

The minimum age for the session is 8 years. Under 18s must be supervised by a parent or guardian but they do not have to climb themselves.

What is your maximum group size?

Our minimum group size is 2 people, and our maximum is 6.

Arrive at the location (TBC)

Your instructor will welcome you at the location and introduce themselves, give you a safety briefing and allocate your climbing equipment for the session.

What do I need to bring?

We will provide all the climbing equipment needed and all you need do is bring snacks/lunch, a drink, trainers and clothing that is suitable for the conditions (waterproofs, warm tops, etc) sun cream, hat and sunglasses (you just never know!)
